"Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different."
So it's Monday and less than a week until my birthday! I honestly have no idea what I'm doing or if I'm doing anything (to be honest), but I just find myself looking back at my past birthdays and from where I've come.
I'm not sure if you know this, but you may have seen it on Not a Standard.
But two years ago I founded this blog while struggling with a ten year struggle with anorexia. Since that time A LOT has changed. If I were to go back at some of the things I wrote, I may be embarrassed because of who I was. But that's it, we all change and as cliche as it sounds, we live and we learn.
So before I get into my blog today, I just wanted to say that it's OKAY to be embarrassed and it's OKAY if you aren't exactly where you want to be. Those little steps matter everyday. What you used to love and who you are changes EVERY single day.
On that Note... Here are The Items I'm Currently Loving This Season
**And just to be aware of... this post is NOT sponsored, but I did RECEIVE some of them as Instagram partnerships."
1.) Hair Products:
I am obsessed with hair products. And yes, I do use what I show on my Instagram. I love switching off as I feel that it's best for my hair. I do notice a difference when I use the same products for too long, which is why I post so many different products on my feed. So here are several of the products that I'm loving this season.
It's a 10:Any of the leave-in conditioners leave my hair feeling silky smooth. I also used the shampoo and conditioner set, and LOVED it too.
Nature Box: I loved the smell of it along with it's packaging. I oftentimes save the pump bottles and use it for my other shampoos too!
Paul Mitchell: I love their new products, but I still am obsessed with their SKINNY SERUM! Have you tried it yet?
I have used this for years and swear by it. I used it on my scar tissue after my hand-surgery and skin-cancer biopsies (all clear). And now, I currently use it on my face or skin. It is a little greasy, so I apply it as needed. I apply it to get rid of any dry patches, but DO notice if I use it too much or too frequently, I break out a little. So long story short... LISTEN TO YOUR SKIN!

Fabletics: I have loved this brand before it was well-known (several years back). I still LOVE it today and wear my salar capris ALL the time. For those that are interested, I do have a link to share. I believe you get 2/$24 leggings when you sign up for VIP. That's what I did when I first signed up and I still am a VIP today. What that means is that you can either a.) buy the leggings and cancel your VIP membership (my mom did this) b.) buy the leggings and keep the VIP membership (each month you have five days to either BUY an outfit or to SKIP the month). While option B may seem like an iffy option, I always make sure I have it on my calendar and decide the first day.

Athleta: While this was a later find of mine, I own and love several of their pieces, from capris to bathing suit bottoms. I love that they carry XXS and that I am able to find products that I love. While I do have to try on every piece for size, once I find something that fits me right, I wear it all the time. I also LOVE what the brand stands for #thepowerofshe. It's about empowering one another and that's more of what we need.
4.) Nail Polish
Londontown. That's the only brand I've been using for months. I love their GEL polishes especially MURRAY ME and Briolette. Definitely recommend and can't wait to host another giveaway for you guys! (P.S. With that being said, however, I'd highly recommend NO POLISH on the toenails in the winter. It helps to PREVENT toenail fungus. It lets your toes breathe in those UGG boots and shoes, and I ALWAYS try to take a break during the wintertime!)
I have Raynaud's Phenomenon (I'm COLD all the time) which means I'm always trying to layer or find WARM sweatpants during this time. I've found a few that I love at all different price points. Here are some of my favorite brands and kinds below, most of them are from my Go-To's: Abercrombie, Alternative Apparel, and Chaser.
So like I said, I just wanted to share what I'm USING and what I'm LOVING now. I feel like too oftentimes I'm caught up in the motivation and the quote that I don't really get to share my opinions on these. So here's what I'm LOVING and what I'd RECOMMEND.
With Love Always,
