Throwback to my Last Vacation at Lake George!

You are never stuck at where you’re at.  In all reality, you have unlimited possibilities.  You can do anything you set your mind to, and that’s a fact.  So why not do everything you please?

So it’s a New Year and I’m ready to travel!  But I also know that travel can be expensive and complicated.  So I’m breaking it down for both you and I on how to travel on a budget and in the next blog (how to stay organized this year)!

Traveling On a Budget: The 101

Travel can be expensive, yet you can always eliminate costs.  When I book a vacation, I do a lot to get what I want at a lower cost.

My First Step:

The first step I take is checking with my AAA office because oftentimes there are several deals to be taken advantage of.  Oftentimes they have packages that contain the hotel, transportation, and everything you want for so much less than you thought.  They also offer a discount on hotels and attractions nearby, and it’s definitely a MUST for booking any trip!

My Second Step:

I don’t book right away, instead I look myself.  I google search “hotels near xx” and compare the rates myself.

My Third Step:

After checking rates myself, I often find myself checking out sites such as these!  I compare a few of them and get an idea of the rates.

Last Step:

Once you have a variety of rates, figure out which option you’d enjoy most and then call the hotel direct as oftentimes they have better rates.

The Steps Summed Up

So booking an affordable vacation does require a bit of time, but it’s worth it in the end.  By utilizing AAA, Google Search, and a few other websites, you can find the most affordable price and save.  It may involve booking a package deal, or booking everything separately, but it can save hundreds of dollars that you can pinpoint for other things.

You can buy some new clothing or shoes to take along with you, and make your vacation complete!

Here’s a few cute picks I would take!

The End

So what it all comes down is the fact that you are NEVER stuck.  You can always make your life better through several ways.  It may just include taking that long-awaited vacation or it may be buying that one thing you’ve always wanted, yet didn’t feel like you deserved.  In the end, your life is completely up to you!

With Love Always,

Michele
