Life can be discouraging, yet there’s always something to look forward to.  So don’t give up now, as every single day is an opportunity to move on.  And by changing several things in your life a bit at a time, you will be further along than you ever could have imagined NEXT year at this time.  So just a reminder before blogging today, to keep on hustling on despite how you feel today.

So with that all being said, I have to admit that blogging and Instagram is a bit on my mind these days.  Last year, I want to share so many different things with you, yet couldn’t seem to find the time.  But this year, I’m getting myself organized and boy you better be ready for it all!  There’s going to be a slew of motivation, recipes, and new knowledge coming at you this year.

But until this occurs, let’s talk about simple ways to organize this year and find the time for YOU.

Because life’s too short not to have time for YOU!

Make This Year YOURS

Let’s face it, we all need to organize our schedules better to make this year our own.  But besides this aspect, we need to remember all that we’ve done.  So while I’ll be talking more about the TYPICAL calendar below what I want to talk about first is making a different sort of calendar to inspire you to keep going EVERY SINGLE DAY in spite of failures happening your way.

So this year, I urge you all to make a gratitude calendar…

A calendar where you can make a list of three or more great things that have occurred.  By keeping track of the little things you’ve done throughout the course of a year, you can see how much you’ve done despite how you feel.

Because if I would have done this last year at this time, I could have easily saw the changes I’ve made in terms of my food or career.  I could have seen my transition from being terrified of certain foods to now, and could have seen how much work I’ve put in rather than the work I have left to go.

Essentially, it’s a great way to stay optimistic no matter how many times you feel left down!

So if the other calendar sounds great to yourself, I bet you still want another calendar to schedule everything out.  So I’ve made a list of how I’m staying organized this year.  And how you can too, in order to keep a hold on your year!

#1: Desk Calendar

I never owned a desk calendar until this year that is.  There’s just too many items to get done, that a typical calendar doesn’t quite do it anymore

…Don’t you agree?

So this year, I’m staying organized with a simple black and white desk calendar from Staples.  While it’s basic and a little boring, it get’s the job done!  I write all that needs to get done on each day.  And on the side I write who needs to be contacted or paid for each month at a time.

I would love to have a prettier option, so I did a bit of research and found a few!  They are less pricey and much more cute than the one I own!

#2: Sticky Pads

These are a MUST.  You can write your little to-do’s on them or write some important phone numbers.  And when you are done with the info, the most gratifying feeling is being able to throw them away!

#3: Fun Sharpies/Colored Pens/Pencils

Self-explanatory, but I always color-code what needs to get done with multiple colors of sharpies or pens!  And for the things I’m not quite sure about, I use a pencil!

#4: Highlighters

If you don’t like crossing things off, highlighters are a great option.  You can highlight all you have done, and get the same satisfaction.  And the best part about using this method is the ability to go back on certain things you’ve done throughout the course of the year!

These Are the Ones I’ve Been Using… BUT On SALE!

The End

So this year is going to be ours.

I’ve said it and it’s true.  So you just need to get around to organizing what YOU need to do.

And yes… your dreams can come true.

With Love Always,

Michele
